Soccer Game Preview: Belmont vs. Contreras

The Belmont Sentinels will challenge the Contreras Cobras at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Belmont's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Contreras has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

On Monday, Belmont came up short against Bernstein and fell 4-2.

Santiago Aleman wasn't going to let Bernstein walk away unscathed as he scored both of Belmont's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Contreras came up short against Bernstein on Friday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 899th, while the Dragons are ranked 410th).

Belmont's loss dropped their record down to 10-6-2. As for Contreras, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-3.

Belmont was able to grind out a solid win over Contreras in their previous meeting on Wednesday, winning 2-0. Will Belmont repeat their success, or does Contreras have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
