Volleyball Recap: Southern Alamance Patriots vs. Northwest Guilford Vikings
After flying high against Williams on Tuesday, Southern Alamance came back down to earth. The Patriots lost 3-0 to the Northwest Guilford Vikings on Wednesday. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2018.
While Southern Alamance was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Northwest Guilford's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-22.
Leading Northwest Guilford to victory were Cali Straub and Emary Moore. Straub had 12 digs and four assists, while Moore had nine assists and three aces. Mackenzie Stewart also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.
