Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Takes a Loss

If Patrick Henry was feeling good fresh off their 69-37 takedown of Louisa County last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patrick Henry Patriots took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the L.C. Bird Skyhawks.

L.C. Bird's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Imani Evans led the charge by going 5-for-11 en route to 15 points along with five boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Sasha Hodge, who posted 11 points and five steals.

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for L.C. Bird, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Patrick Henry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for L.C. Bird, they will head out to take on Fleming at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fleming comes in on 16 and L.C. Bird on eight.
