Corner Canyon is 0-3 against Riverton since April of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Chargers will challenge the Silverwolves at 3:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Corner Canyon came out on top against Bingham on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Chargers walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Miners.

Those two stolen bases gave Whatcott a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Garrett Downing, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Riverton came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 13-8.
Jackson Young looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Gage Zullo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaige Woods, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Riverton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matchups.
Riverton pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Corner Canyon, their record now sits at 12-7.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Corner Canyon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. However, it's not like Riverton struggles in that department as they've averaged .350. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Corner Canyon couldn't quite get it done against Riverton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-5. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
