Basketball Game Preview: Sam Rayburn Texans vs. Shadow Creek Sharks

The Sam Rayburn Texans will square off against the Shadow Creek Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Sam Rayburn: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Shadow Creek has snatched up 11 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Sam Rayburn took a blow against Pasadena Memorial, falling 82-55. While losing is never fun, the Texans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1015th, while the Mavericks are ranked 319th).

Meanwhile, Shadow Creek didn't have too much trouble with South Houston on Tuesday as they won 81-65. The Sharks pushed the score to 69-44 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans cut but never quite recovered from.

Shadow Creek's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Sam Rayburn, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
