Basketball Game Preview: Westbrook Blue Blazes vs. Brunswick Dragons

The Westbrook Blue Blazes will venture away from home to take on the Brunswick Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westbrook has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 21.

On Friday, Westbrook was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to Edward Little.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brunswick). They took down Freeport 60-45 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Westbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Brunswick, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Westbrook was able to grind out a solid win over Brunswick in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 62-51. Will Westbrook repeat their success, or does Brunswick have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
