Softball Game Preview: La Vega Pirates vs. Hillsboro Eagles

The La Vega Pirates will square off against the Hillsboro Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

La Vega is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Mart, falling 14-4.

Meanwhile, Hillsboro lost 11-2 to Blooming Grove on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Hillsboro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Cornelious- Mathis, who went a perfect1-for-1 with one RBI.

Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for La Vega, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

La Vega might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Hillsboro when the teams last played on Monday. Can La Vega avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
