Basketball Recap: Jamestown Takes a Loss

Jamestown played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 63-32 loss at the hands of the Lancaster Legends. The Red & Green were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-8.

Madison Francis was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards for Lancaster. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Francis has scored at least a third of Lancaster's points.

This is the second loss in a row for Jamestown and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Lancaster, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jamestown will host Williamsville North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown is facing Williamsville North at the right time seeing as Williamsville North is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lancaster, they will be playing at home against Clarence at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
