Soccer Game Preview: West Monroe vs. Neville

West Monroe is on an eight-game streak of home wins, while Neville is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Rebels will welcome the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, West Monroe had just enough and edged out Ruston 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering West Monroe's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Ruston are ranked 73rd).

Meanwhile, Neville got the win against Ouachita Christian on Tuesday by a conclusive 5-1. Considering Neville have won seven matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

West Monroe's win bumped their record up to 12-2-2. As for Neville, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

West Monroe got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in January of 2025 against Neville by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
