Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Lancaster

Lancaster hadn't done well against River Valley recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Flying Arrows walked away with a 6-2 win over the Blackhawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 on May 1st.

Lancaster saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Wolf, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Another was Toay Ragatz, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Lancaster's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for River Valley, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will challenge Potosi/Cassville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for River Valley, they will take on Appleton West at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
