Baseball Game Preview: Meadville Bulldogs vs. Fort LeBoeuf Bison

Meadville is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Fort LeBoeuf a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Meadville Bulldogs will welcome the Fort LeBoeuf Bison at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Meadville fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Harbor Creek on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies.

Meadville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacoby Thompson, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Thompson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Bradyn Miller was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Fort LeBoeuf didn't have quite enough to beat Girard on Monday and fell 5-4.

Meadville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Fort LeBoeuf, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Meadville took their victory against Fort LeBoeuf in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-5 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
