Softball Recap: Annawan-Wethersfield Wins Going Away Against Bureau Valley

Annawan-Wethersfield had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Bureau Valley on Tuesday. The Titans were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Storm. Considering the Titans have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Annawan-Wethersfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-17 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Bureau Valley, they dropped their record down to 15-16 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Bureau Valley will host Stark County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Annawan-Wethersfield will be paying especially close attention to the Storm's contest: after the Storm face off against the Rebels, they'll take on Annawan-Wethersfield again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
