Baseball Recap: Citronelle Takes a Loss

Citronelle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Citronelle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kohen White, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Citronelle's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Forrest County Agricultural, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Citronelle will host Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Jackson will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Citronelle surely won't give up without a fight. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they will square off against Columbia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Forrest County Agricultural likes a good challenge.
