Basketball Game Preview: Ruston Bearcats vs. Northwood Falcons

The Ruston Bearcats will challenge the Northwood Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ruston, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Ruston was fully in charge, breezing past Pineville 67-26. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of Woodlawn-Shreveport.

The win made it two in a row for Ruston and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Northwood, their loss dropped their record down to 10-17.

Everything came up roses for Ruston against Northwood in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured an 80-45 victory. Will Ruston repeat their success, or does Northwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
