Basketball Recap: Valley Oaks CES Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Valley Oaks CES had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Panorama Pythons, falling 61-16. The Vanguards haven't had much luck with the Pythons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Panorama's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Raphael Latorre led the charge by putting up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Guste, who posted six points and seven steals.

Panorama has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Valley Oaks CES will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fulton at 2:30 p.m. on December 3. As for Panorama, they will venture away from home to face off against Chavez at 4:00 p.m. on December 1.
