Softball Recap: Harbor Comes Up Short

Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-2 to the Soquel Knights. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 8-3 to the Knights when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harbor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Monroe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that Monroe snagged this season.

Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Soquel, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Harbor and Soquel will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Pirates see the field they'll take on Santa Cruz at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Soquel, their break will end when they face Aptos at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
