Soccer Recap: Howell Comes Up Short

Howell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Neptune Scarlet Fliers. Howell were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Neptune apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

Howell's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Neptune, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howell will face off against Middletown South on Monday. Middletown South's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Neptune, they will host Lacey Township on Monday.
