Basketball Recap: Brethren Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bear Lake last Wednesday, Brethren came back down to earth. The Brethren Bobcats took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Onekama Portagers on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Portagers: they've now lost five in a row.

Brethren's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Onekama, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Brethren does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Onekama, they will take on Sacred Heart Academy in a tournament on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sacred Heart Academy comes in on 20 and Onekama on eight.
