Football Recap: Kourtney Hutchinson and Brielle Griswell Pace Gainesville Defense

Gainesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. John Lutheran Saints.

Although Gainesville took the loss, they still got scores from Kourtney Hutchinson and Nazarri Allen.

Gainesville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hutchinson and Brielle Griswell.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. John Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Gainesville will be playing in front of their home fans against Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. John Lutheran, they will venture away from home to take on Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
