They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nederland Panthers. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but William Smith couldn't quite close it out.

William Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Nederland, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. William Smith will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Aurora West College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. William Smith will need to watch out since Aurora West College Prep Academy have now posted at least four goals in their last four contests. As for Nederland, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Campion Academy at 4:00 p.m.
