 Brushton-Moira kicked off their season on the road  on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Franklin Academy Huskies by a score of  11-10. Brushton-Moira was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Franklin Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2021.
  Broc Allen and  Dustin Barse did some serious damage despite the final result:  Allen  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double, while  Barse  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 On Franklin Academy's side,  Jordan Perry was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Logan Peck, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 Brushton-Moira will head out on the road to  challenge  Madrid-Waddington at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Franklin Academy, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Canton at 4:30  p.m. Franklin Academy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak  dating back to last season alive.
