Tennessee and David Crockett squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Tennessee had to settle for second. The game between the Tennessee Vikings and the David Crockett Pioneers didn't end well, with the Tennessee Vikings falling 55-38. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Despite the defeat, Tennessee had strong showings from Jasmine Jones, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 13 points, and Addie Wilhoit, who posted nine points. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 46% in the last three games she's played. Carleigh Warwick also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

David Crockett's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brylee Tullock, who shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points and seven rebounds. Lacey Byrd was another key player, going 5-for-9 on her way to 14 points and seven boards.

Tennessee's loss dropped their record down to 13-18. As for David Crockett, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 33-3.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Tennessee will head out to face off against Northview Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northview Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Tennessee surely won't give up without a fight. As for David Crockett, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cocke County at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. David Crockett is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.5 points per game this season.
