Baseball Recap: Lost River Finds Home Field Redemption Against Bonanza

There's no place like home for Lost River, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let the Bonanza Antlers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. With that win, the Raiders brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Brock Lacy, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Lost River's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Doug Jenkins, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Lost River has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Bonanza, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Lost River will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Antlers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
