Baseball Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Victorious

Vista PEAK Prep proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the George Washington Patriots, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted since April 30, 2024.

Abel Salinas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Vista PEAK Prep is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Vista PEAK Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karter Robertson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

The win got Vista PEAK Prep back to even at 9-9. As for George Washington, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
