Southeast Career Tech dropped their record down to 17-9 on Thursday, which also ended the team's ten-game streak of wins. They lost 8-0 to the Coronado Cougars. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Roadrunners were not able to get on the board.

As for Coronado, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. The result was nothing new for Coronado, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Coronado's part, the result came thanks to Sarah Lopez's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Coronado let Alohi Mundon and Bailey Goldberg run wild. Mundon went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Goldberg went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Bendlin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Southeast Career Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coronado, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-9 loss against Bishop Gorman on the 6th.
