 After losing to Chuckey-Doak the last time they met, Morristown-Hamblen East decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes came out on top against the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights by a score of  7-4  on Thursday.
  Landry Winstead looked comfortable as he  tossed 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned run off   two  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Jonah Carden and  Isaac Greene did most of the damage at the plate:  Carden  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  Greene  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, a  stolen base,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Blake Creech, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Morristown-Hamblen East's victory  ended  a  seven-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 8-17. As for Chuckey-Doak, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
 Morristown-Hamblen East will head out on the road to  challenge  Morristown-Hamblen West at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Morristown-Hamblen West is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.4  runs per game  this season. As for Chuckey-Doak, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against North Greene at 5:00  p.m. The last three games North Greene has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
