Football Game Preview: San Diego Cavers vs. Imperial Tigers + How To Watch

The San Diego Cavers will head out to challenge the Imperial Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Diego's defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so Imperial's offense will have their work cut out for them.

San Diego is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Thursday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Christian. The Cavers gained 125 more yards on the day, but it was the Patriots that made the best use of them.

Jayden Johnson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 91 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Imperial suffered their biggest loss since October 25, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against Holtville, falling 54-24. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Deren Hueso and Enrique Armas. Armas had a great game and rushed for 318 yards and five TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Hueso was balling out in the loss, rushing for 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

San Diego's record is now 5-5. As for Imperial, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.
