Soccer Game Preview: Seaman vs. Basehor-Linwood

Seaman is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats at 6:15 p.m. Basehor-Linwood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Seaman, who comes in off a win.

Seaman will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals last Tuesday, then bounced right back against Spring Hill last Thursday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Broncos. Ava Golightly had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Seaman.

Meanwhile, Basehor-Linwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Baldwin.

The win got Seaman back to even at 1-1. As for Basehor-Linwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Seaman took their victory against Basehor-Linwood when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
