Volleyball Recap: Academy of Central Florida National Wins Going Away Against Seminole

Academy of Central Florida National had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Seminole Seminoles 3-0 on Monday.

While Academy of Central Florida National won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.

Lucca Marques paced Academy of Central Florida National's offense, picking up 20 kills. Marques got some help from Luciano Carrillo and his 40 assists. Carrillo was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Seminole's loss came despite strong showings from Talon Caldwell and Shea Brown. Caldwell had 11 digs and two aces, while Brown had 19 assists and three digs.

Academy of Central Florida National now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Seminole, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Academy of Central Florida National didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lyman on the 12th. As for Seminole, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Oviedo on the 11th.
