Volleyball Recap: Lafayette's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lafayette waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Parkway South Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 last Saturday.

Lafayette walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 18-25, 25-23.

Leading Lafayette to victory were Alex Behl and Ben Zehner. Behl had eight digs and three assists, while Zehner had six digs and one assist. Those six digs gave Zehner a new career-high.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Parkway South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season.

Lafayette didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against O'Fallon on the 2nd. As for Parkway South, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Clayton on the 2nd.
