Basketball Recap: Marshfield Comes Up Short

Marshfield and Marist squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Marshfield had to settle for second. They fell to the Marist Spartans 51-46. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 68-55.

Marshfield's defeat dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Marist, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Marshfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marist, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Junction City at 7:15 p.m.
