Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Zaire Hopson and Jodarsen Pierre Lead Roselle to Victory

Roselle won the last time they faced Roselle Park and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Roselle Rams secured a 55-50 W over the Roselle Park Panthers.

Roselle was led to victory by Jodarsen Pierre and Zaire Hopson. Pierre posted 21 points and five assists, while Hopson had 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Pierre is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Puryear, who put up eight points.

Roselle has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Roselle Park, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roselle will take on Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Roselle Park, they will challenge Henry Hudson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
