Softball Recap: University Prep Panthers vs. Lassen Grizzlies
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but University Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Lassen Grizzlies. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Hailey Pebley spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 24 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Riley Villano was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
