Basketball Recap: Melrose Drops Highest Score of Season Against B O L D

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Melrose). They managed a 63-59 win over the B O L D Warriors on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Dutchmen's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Warriors are ranked 129th).

Despite the loss, B O L D still got an impressive performance from Jack Gross, who went 8 of 14 en route to 23 points along with six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Vosika, who posted eight points and three steals.

Melrose's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for B O L D, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

Coming up, Melrose will take on Legacy Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for B O L D, they will head out to face off against Minneota at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. B O L D is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.6 points per game this season.
