Ooltewah can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Walker Valley Mustangs, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Owls have posted since August 19th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Ooltewah got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 15-13.

Walker Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Madison Mcclung, who had nine digs and two aces, and Julia Scarbrough, who had 12 assists and four digs.

Ooltewah's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Walker Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.

Coincidentally, Ooltewah and Walker Valley will both be playing Boyd-Buchanan the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will host the Buccaneers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Owls will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
