Softball Recap: United South Has No Trouble Against Nixon

United South barely beat Nixon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Mustangs on Tuesday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Andrea Guerrero was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Crystal Sena was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

The win got United South back to even at 13-13-1. As for Nixon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10-1.

Coming up, United South will venture away from home to square off against Del Rio at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nixon, they will square off against Mission Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
