Baseball Recap: Silver Gets the Win

Silver's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Jefferson Silver Foxes by a score of 8-5. The Fighting Colts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Silver Foxes, too.

Danian Flores and Urijah Arrey did most of the damage at the plate: Flores went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run, while Arrey got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Flores is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Andre Zumwalt-Oaxaca, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Silver always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jefferson only posted an OBP of .333.

Silver's record now sits at 3-4. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Coming up, Silver will square off against Andress at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will challenge Hatch Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
