East Noble was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Columbia City Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 24, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (113-104) East Noble actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 29-27, 17-25, 15-13.

Elijah Delashmit paced East Noble's offense, picking up 12 kills. Delashmit got some help from Justice Reese and his 24 assists. Delashmit was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

East Noble's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Columbia City, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.
