Recap: Rowland Hall Winged Lions vs. American Leadership Academy Eagles
The Rowland Hall Winged Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by American Leadership Academy 39-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rowland Hall has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Rowland Hall struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as American Leadership Academy posted 11 assists.
American Leadership Academy was led to victory by Jacklynn Huff and Ali Decker. Huff scored nine points along with four steals, while Decker scored 13 points along with six assists and two steals. Huff is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Rowland Hall dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for American Leadership Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Rowland Hall will head out on the road to take on Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rowland Hall comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for American Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to take on American Prep WV at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. American Prep WV's defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so American Leadership Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
