Softball Recap: Aurora East Comes Up Short

Aurora East couldn't beat Joliet Central on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Tomcats lost 16-6 to the Steelmen. The Tomcats have struggled against the Steelmen recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Aurora East's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Joliet Central, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Aurora East will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Joliet Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rich Township at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
