Pollok Central had lost seven games straight , but after bumping their record up to 4-17-1 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Newton Eagles. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Newton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Newton's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callan Hough, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
