Basketball Recap: Longview Finds Home Court Redemption Against Forney

There's no place like home for Longview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Forney Jackrabbits on Tuesday, sneaking past 40-37. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Jackrabbits are ranked 448th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jailiyah Rockmore was her usual excellent self, going 6 of 11 on her way to 18 points and three steals.

Longview has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 19-5 record this season. As for Forney, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-15.

Longview has already played their next match, a 51-37 loss against Tyler Legacy on the 24th. As for Forney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 35-20 defeat against Rockwall on the 24th.
