Softball Recap: Sheridan Takes a Loss

Sheridan lost against Santiam Christian on April 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans came up short against the Eagles, falling 17-3.

Sheridan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alondra Casillas, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Hope Ulery also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Sheridan dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Santiam Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sheridan is set to take on their familiar foe Scio at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Santiam Christian will face off against rival Amity at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
