Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks. If the Rough Riders were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Silver Streaks when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Roosevelt was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Steinmetz College Prep, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Roosevelt will square off against Phoenix Military at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Firebirds will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Rough Riders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Steinmetz College Prep, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Ogden International at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
