Soccer Recap: Babcock Takes a Loss

Babcock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Sarasota Military Academy Eagles an easy 4-1 win. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Trailblazers it sure didn't stay that way.

Babcock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12-1. As for Sarasota Military Academy, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Babcock will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sarasota Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Sarasota Military Academy will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Bayshore at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Sarasota Military Academy is facing Bayshore at the right time seeing as Bayshore is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
