Soccer Game Preview: Eagle Ridge Academy vs. Colorado Academy

Eagle Ridge Academy is 0-3 against Colorado Academy since October of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors will challenge the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Eagle Ridge Academy and The Academy meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Warriors' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 2-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Colorado Academy entered their tilt with Denver Christian on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Thunder 3-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Colorado Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Denver Christian are ranked 80th).

Colorado Academy hit Denver Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Pablo Stewart, Ziyad Dar, and Conrad Sehl.

Eagle Ridge Academy's record is now 7-1-1. As for Colorado Academy, their record now sits at 5-2-3.

Eagle Ridge Academy suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Colorado Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
