Volleyball Game Preview: Alvord Bulldogs vs. Lindsay Knights

Alvord hasn't had much luck against Lindsay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Alvord comes in on three and Lindsay on 15.

Alvord took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Poolville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Monarchs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since September 13th.

Alvord took Poolville into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 27-25, 18-25, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Lindsay made easy work of Graford on Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lindsay was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-15.

Alvord's record now sits at 11-16. As for Lindsay, their record is now 30-7.

Alvord couldn't quite get it done against Lindsay in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 3-1. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
