Basketball Recap: St. Paul Takes a Loss

St. Paul lost against Broken Bow back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The St. Paul Wildcats were dealt a 67-29 loss at the hands of the Broken Bow Indians. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-15.

St. Paul's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Charlee Wegner, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 14 points, and Aubree Fitzgerald, who posted eight points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Fitzgerald a new career-high in assists (two).

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Broken Bow, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Paul and O'Neill will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Broken Bow, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hershey at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
