Basketball Recap: Pallotti Takes a Loss

Pallotti was the 63-61 winner over Loyola Blakefield when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pallotti Panthers were outmatched by the Loyola Blakefield Dons and fell 92-58. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loyola Blakefield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mason Ellison led the charge by putting up 19 points. The matchup was Ellison's third in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Legree, who posted 19 points.

Pallotti's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Loyola Blakefield, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-13.

Looking ahead, Pallotti will take on Sandy Spring Friends at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loyola Blakefield, they will challenge Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Loyola Blakefield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.2 points per game this season.
