Baseball Recap: Menominee Comes Up Short

The Menominee Maroons didn't have quite enough to beat the Peshtigo Bulldogs on Saturday and fell 9-8.

Peshtigo's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Coming up, Menominee will head out to face off against Escanaba at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Maroons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Peshtigo, they will face off against Roncalli at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jets' pitching crew has only allowed 0.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
